Maintenance Worker
Job Description:
Inspects the building, grounds, equipment and systems.
Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
Communicates with the ED about any new maintenance needs and issues.
Installs equipment and appliances, (unless equipment specialists are required and then arranges those).
Complies with safety regulations.
Keeps a maintenance log.
Completes facility and grounds park maintenance checklists.
Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
Loads and unloads equipment and tools.
Responsible for keeping the maintenance and mechanical rooms tidy and organized.
Follows written and verbal instructions from ED.
Collaborates with the maintenance professionals and contractors as needed.
Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
Handles grounds garbage collection and clean up.
Available on call in case of maintenance emergency.
Communicates effectively, with other staff and the public.
Work Hours: Position is part time, approximately 15 – 20 hours per week/as needed (hours may increase as necessary or required).
Education and Experience Requirements:
At least one year of building maintenance experience, handy-person, construction, or janitorial experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Wage: Position will start at hourly $25 - $30
