One of the most popular moderate hikes is up China Mountains where hikers are rewarded with an open view of the southern part of the island and east to Cortes Island and the mainland mountains.
Quadra has an abundance of fresh water lakes with a number of medium length trails to the smaller more scenic lakes such as Morte, Nugedzi , and Newton.
One of the newer trails, Shellalligan Pass is a combination of forested areas and stretches on the rocky shoreline of Village Bay where hikers will have wonderful views of the Bay aand the Haskyn Channel between Quadra and Read Island to the east.
The midportion of the island offers a number of easy, forested walks including a series of interconnected trails in Blenkin Memorial Park where the Community Centre is located.
The southern tip of Quadra has various shore walks including one which starts at the 100 year old Cape Mudge lighthouse and wanders by Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge.
