May Day is Quadra's oldest community celebration dating from 1898. It is a non-commercial family event at Rebecca Spit replete with parade, May Queen, races, grease pole, driftwood fort building, face paint, prizes for best costumes, box lunch auction, entertainment, and hanging out with friends and neighbours. It is the next Saturday after the May long weekend. (Please keep your dogs at home.)
